James McCarthy
Director

James McCarthy is the broker you can count on when it comes to your insurance needs. Graduating with a Bachelor of Business from Auckland University of Technology, with a double major in International Business and Marketing, coupled with a Senior Associate from ANZIIF and IBANZ QIB certified – he now takes pride in utilising this knowledge not only within his own business, but also in protecting the businesses of others.

After spending time overseas, James returned to New Zealand beginning his career in insurance in 2008. Since then he has gained experience in a wide range of areas including underwriting, sales and account management. This vast experience, combined with a desire to provide clients with a personalised service led James to start his own company, Guardian Insurance Brokers.

Since forming Guardian in 2017, the business has gone from strength to strength. Based in Auckland and serving clients nationwide, James and his team genuinely care about their clients and their outcomes. Providing excellent customer service with efficient response times ensures that your needs are taken care of when it counts.

In 2018 James won the inaugural ‘Emerging Broker of the Year’ award, in recognition of his professionalism and commitment to his clients.
